Snow and Fire Tour provides tourists with the opportunity to experience the magic of the place firsthand, as protagonists.
The activity begins by picking up passengers from their accommodation, heading towards the Tierra Mayor Valley. A qualified guide will introduce themselves, narrate the history of the landscapes, and outline the excursion itinerary.
The Tierra Mayor Valley is a wide glacial valley traversed by the Lasifashaj River, which forms numerous meanders and flows into the vicinity of Estancia Harberton. The beginning of the valley coincides with the point where the Carbajal Valley turns south, then it runs straight between mountains within the Fuegian Andes range from west to east. Watershed lines mark its northern and southern boundaries. To the north, the Alvear Range separates it from Lake Fagnano, and to the south, another line of mountains, the Sorondo Range, separates it from the Beagle Channel.
The journey will take place as we enter the forest heading towards the cabin, along a magical torch-lit path. Upon arrival, we will enjoy an exquisite regional dinner including skewers, stew cooked over the fire, various varieties of wine, and the classic “Hachero’s coffee.”
The snow and fire evening will be accompanied by a warm “Argentine guitar session” before returning to the hotel.
Note: The sled ride can be combined with snowmobile rides or with a trekking tour using snowshoes.
