National Park is a half-day tour, visiting the Tierra del Fuego National Park located at 11 km southwest of the city. It is the only park where forest, mountains, and sea come together. The landscape is typical of a glacial environment, with valleys occupied by rivers and lakes. The park preserves the sub-Antarctic forest, where three types of trees thrive: Lenga, Ñire, and Guindo. Visitors can also explore the expansive peat bogs and learn about their characteristics.
Within the tour, you will find Lake Acigami (formerly Lake Roca), from where you can appreciate the iconic Cerro Cóndor and the Darwin Range. Among the mammals, the red fox can be spotted. Additionally, introduced species with significant environmental impact, such as rabbits and beavers, can also be observed.
The coastal area includes Ensenada Bay, home to the famous post office, and Lapataia Bay, which, in addition to captivating with its beauty, holds great symbolic value as it represents the end of National Route No. 3. Within the park, there are numerous marked trails of varying difficulty and duration, such as the Island, Laguna Negra, and Coastal trails, among others.
For those who opt for the National Park + End of the World Train optional will separate from the group to embark on a 2-hour journey aboard the famous train. Onboard, you will hear the story of the prisoners who came daily to cut wood in this area and delight in magnificent landscapes, including the winding Pipo River, La Macarena waterfall, the tree cemetery, and the majestic lenga forest.
