  Trekking Ojo del Albino Glacier Itinerary

  The day begins with the pick-up of passengers from their respective hotels, from where we head east by bus along National Route 3 to kilometer 20, where our adventure to the majestic Ojo del Albino Glacier begins. We will traverse two contrasting valleys, Tierra Mayor Valley and Esmeralda River Valley, walking through forests, peat bogs, and mountains for 5 kilometers.

  In the early morning, we depart from Ushuaia by bus, crossing beautiful landscapes of National Route 3 heading East.

  Start of trekking at KM. 20

  Upon reaching kilometer 20, we begin the walk through the Valle de Tierra Mayor, surrounded by forests and mountains.

  Laguna Esmeralda

  After 5 kilometers, we reach the stunning Laguna Esmeralda, an unmatched beauty retreat.

  Ascent to the Ojo del Albino Glacier

  We begin the climb to the top of the glacier, crossing mountainous terrain that demands focus and endurance. During the ascent, we encounter impressive erratic blocks, traces of Tierra del Fuego’s glacial past.

  Lunch in the mountains

  At 7 kilometers, we take a break in the mountains for a rejuvenating lunch, recharging our energy before the final part of the ascent.

  Ojo del Albino Balconies

  We will reach the Ojo del Albino Balconies, offering a spectacular panoramic view of Laguna Esmeralda and its valley. From there, we ascend a wall to reach the summit.

  Upon reaching the summit of the Ojo del Albino Glacier, you’ll be surrounded by ancient ice, snow-capped mountains, and the intense blue sky, creating an unforgettable memory.

  Descent and return to Ushuaia

  In the afternoon, we begin the descent and head back to your accommodation in Ushuaia, where the adventure concludes.
